KITCHEN DESIGN 2021

Kitchen design has come along way since the days when rooms were parceled off from each other. Open concepts are common place and large islands that create a central gathering place still dominate the design focus of the modern day kitchen.

One welcome introduction is the application of memorable stone surfaces that highlight the island and other areas central in the space. It can often be a splurge, but always worth the investment. A couple of our current favorites.

Exposed Edge Backsplash

Author: Sydney Piwowar

I have been secretly waiting for this trend to gain popularity for years! Because seriously, who actually likes bullnose? It’s not exactly an inspiring way to end tile. To prove how amazing exposed edge tile can be, I have curated a few of my favorite applications below. See more inspiration here, on my pinterest board.

Color Palette Inspiration — Camel and Blush Pink

We love starting a new project with fabric and wallpaper selection. Opening a package of freshly sent samples is the best mail at the office. We love sourcing fresh prints and colors from new lines that are typically a small business run by an artist putting their ideas into print and paper.

A couple of our new favorites are St. Frank, Skinny Laminx, Imogen Heath, Adelene- Simple Cloth. Check out a couple inspiration boards we are working on for upcoming projects.
